Hi guys,
I wanted to talk about some exclusive and some not so exclusive games that'll help the PC compete with the other platforms, through out the year.

Sins of the Solar Empire(Released and did a fantastic job)
Starcraft 2(The name says it all, this is the big one, the one everyone expects will be eye to eye with the likes of Gears of war 2 and MGS 4 this fall)
Spore(2 time best of E3 winner, hell yeah everyone wants a piece of it)
Wolfenstein 2(working title, confirmed for a 2008 release)-From The little pieces of secret information I've gathered from the internet, it looks like something killer is being made at the Raven Studios.
Mass Effect PC version: Interesting how bioware's console ports turn out to be amazing games for the PC, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, JADE EMPIRE and now MASS EFFECT. These guys really know how to port games to the PC, the games are extremely well tuned, the graphics(Jade felt a little outdated) are awesome and the specs are really worthwhile. Don't believe me? Check out the official Specs for Mass Effect:
http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=626379&forum;=125
Space Seige
Aliens:Colonial Marines
Fall out 3
Bionic Commando: Rearmed(I still have doubts over how well they place the controls for this on the PC, capcom have been horrible in making games for the PC in recent times)
Brother In Arms: Hell's Highway
Alone In The Dark 5
Borderlands
Project Origin

Other Notable Games but possibly not on the 'Great' List:
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Asssassins Creed
Frontlines: Fuels of war
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of war
Mafia 2- Although not 100% confirmed for this year, it sure is one game that'll give GTA 4 a run for it's money
Iron Man
Devil May Cry 4
Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
Far cry 2
Tom Clancy's Endwar
Tom Calncy's Hawx
Tiberium
Splinter Cell:Conviction

Got Some games wirth checking out, pop those in?

Guest o, i really expect DMC4 to use dx10 features as his brother lost planet did, they are based on the same engine IIRC.

I'm also waiting for Jagged Alliance 3, Metro 2033, ArmA 2, Operation Flashpoint 2, GRID, This is Vegas, Ferrari Project and more

I'm most disappointed about Rockstar and GTA IV. Still no statement about PC version and no support for GREAT PC modding community. I would like also see some competition to Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport 2 or even port of PGR4 on PC.

Alan Wake we'll have to wait and see till E3 this year.
GTA4 word is out that a release is scheduled for October 2008.

If you're into racing games keep your eye on this game this June:

The original Stalker was a disappointment for me, I'd rather observe the new Red Faction Game.

I am hoping to see this game this year. I have been looking forward to this for quite some time now.

Anyone have any news on when it will be out?

I still don't understand why you can't have Stalker Clear Sky on "Games that Push PC gaming" list just because you were disappointed in the first one. Surely forum members aren't going to be title biased when many many others will enjoy stalker and clear sky. This list should be fairly broad.

True. For me Stalker was one of the best games in 2007. I was addicted just after first start, couldn't stop playing for weeks!

I think everyone should see this list.

Nobody's being title biased, it's just stalker was'nt a great game and until the second is released and we see a quality game, we can't put it in list this year, sorry. It do well in sales either, that shows how popular it is.

Disciples III: Renaissance, Demigod, Vampyre Story, Still Life 2, AVENCAST: Rise of the Mage, Dragon Age has been pushed to 2009, Sacred 2, Rise of the argonauts, Project Offset, Legendary and Section 8
oh yeah these are worth a shout.
Panzers: Cold War, Worldshift, Damnation, Perimeter 2, question marks on the quality of these games.

It's not about me not liking it, I've also played a lot of other games under THQ's belt, honestly stalker is not among the "Greats" of the PC platform, you can say all you want that it is. But the facts are clear from the sales and popularity. One more thing when you say the word GREAT for a pc title think something like starcraft, quake, sims, etc.

And what about MMOs? I'm really looking forward into All Point's Bulletin, Huxley, Global Agenda and 1944 D-Day ( but is this game ever be finished?).

And where's new Battlefield? I'm not talking about Bad Company or Heroes but some real BF2 successor. I think EA prefer bust our money than making games.

There are a number of MMOs on their way on the PC, which clearly is making the MMO genre dominant on the PC platform. But you don't wanna see the FPS, RTS and RPG games being pushed to the consoles too much, that way the Platform will become weak. People are already saying that WOW and The SIMS are what are keeping the PC alive. Although that is BS, you don't wanna see that as a reality in the next 5 to 10 years.
